HELLO!

I am Cynthia Piekarski, the owner of Hudson, Ohio based Cynthia Marie Photography.

I love photography and feel incredibly lucky to have fallen into it as a career choice for myself.  I truly enjoy photographing special moments for people, whether it’s via a special event or a photo session.  I didn’t set out to be a photographer, I picked it up as a hobby in college and gradually grew into it until one day, being a photographer was the only thing I could see myself doing.

To me, photography is exciting.  It’s fun and unpredictable.  My clients become good friends and it allows me to catpure their true emotions.  I strive for my work to be timeless and not just the newest trend.  I love bright colors and striking black and white images.  I capture a lot of candid moments, but I know sometimes a simple posed photo, done correctly, can capture just as much emotion.  

If it’s your wedding day, I work hard to make you comfortable and make sure your pictures are what you always imagined they would be.  If I’m working with you on a session for yourself, a child or your family; your comfort is still my priority.  Coming to your home or a familiar location is one way I ensure your session is all about documenting who you are. 

I am a mother of 3 amazing kids, a wife of (almost!) 10 years to a great guy and a sister to 5 younger siblings.  I know that life is completely unpredictable and while we tend to plan our sessions and special events as carefully as possible, often the unexpected happens.  Those moments can be some of the best memories and I strive to capture lots of little details no matter what I am photographing.  I’ve learned to live life as it comes and to make the most of every day...and every moment.
